DS video App Reviews

Doesnt support most if any of my video formats. I think .mkv is a pretty standard video format to support so this app is basically and completely useless to many. Unfortunately synology doesnt offer any refund for providing useless apps they say will work so they can charge a premium price for their devices. But as anyone can see the DS apps basically are crap from an average of 2 star reviews.

I cant play any videos anymore off my NAS with the latest DSM 6 and this app just like many others are posting. Please get this fix or whats the point of buying your products?

Woo-hoo they listened, it works great now! I think it was an update to DS video via Synology OS versus an app update. Im a huge fan, thank you Synology! Only feedback is that I cant seem to figure subtitles out yet for content from EyeTV..but hopefully that will work eventually..

The new design is great and I havent had any issues some of the others have had luckily. It just needs to support picture in picture on iPad!

The newest update is TERRIBLE!!!!!! Cant stream content without it freezing and "buffering" every 5 minutes. Used to be able to download content to an iPhone or an iPad....cant do that anymore either. The new "look" is all well and good, but, "if it aint broke, dont fix it". Prior to the update, this would have been a 5-Star, now...it hurt even rating it 1-Star!

The below is now fixed..how about a way to search via IMDB rating now please?! Why can I only access season 1 of my TV episodes on the iPhone/iPad version(?). I can see they are there (in DS) because it says how many episodes in other seasons but cant touch to access and get them to play?! Works great on Appletv version though. All my .m4v files work fine counter to other reviews.
