This app used to work perfectly but it no longer sees my Apple TV 4.

A pretty good app from Synology even there are many 3rd party video apps letting one watching video from a NAS.... There are a couple major improvements that this app needs. It needs to have iPad PIP mode support and it needs to load up a little faster

Please add VR technology to play the movie on Google Cardboard (like YouTube).

The app is good, but I dont understand why I cant read Avchd on a new Apple TV 4... Please update it..

Video Station bugs, as follows : - why collapse several video into one descripion "Across the Wide Missouri" ? Who requested it ? - why change the collection with other name respect the videos contented ? Why Video Station created an incorrect thumbnail ? Which data was used to find it ? I used to be able to use this app to play all my videos from my synology box on all ios devices and even download the videos onto my ios devices. The newest update broke this and the app no longer reads the files. I will update my review to 5 stars when this is fixed. No point to this app for now

The app is not working, cannot play videos. Worked fine prior to recent update. What happened?

I love my sinology if you guys can add the quick connect to the app on the Apple TV too and the images in the folders when you go to the folders option to make it like the app on the iPhone and the iPad it will be amazing.

I have this app on my I phone 5, and my kindle fire 2015 edition. I love this app on my phone I use it all the time. But ever since the last up date it wont allow me to watch movies on my kindle. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app. It still doesnt work. Please allow DS Video to be updated on the kindles! Thank you!

Apples video app is available split screen, how about DS Video?

This app just does not make sense. It abruptly stops from playback, and when it does it will not load the video again after.

This happened 2 updates ago. Now a "what did he say?" moment has turned into an annoying 20 sec manual scan & hope experience — instead of a quick tap-to-back-10-seconds like Netflix/iTunes (and most other video apps) have Having to use the touch pad to physically slide the cursor to where you want is frustrating due to the cursor wanting to snap back to the original pause point with about a 14 second cushion on either side. And that’s 14 seconds at best and BARELY because even a fraction more pressure one way or the other on the touch pad and it again jumps back to the original pause point. Realistically, it’s a 16-20 second window to avoid an annoying snap-back-to-pause game and several apps have shown there’s a better user experience available

I have the exact same problem as ajwhitney. Videos that previously played no longer work (iOS9 and iOS10). Downloaded movies play, but streaming movies or trying to download new movies does not work. These are pretty vanilla mp4s that Im trying to play. Whole collection is down. Please fix! @scottconnor on Twitter if you need help reproducing.

Previously worked fine on Chromecast streaming by selecting AC3 sound track for MKV videos, but this version just dont play. It always says the format is not supported!!! Please fix!!!!!

Like others have said it wont stream. It opens DS file to stream. Terrible update.

Dont download this update! I have every file on my synology as .m4v and now it will not let me play any of them. Before the update it worked just fine but now it has rendered my entire library useless! Super surprised at synology cause they usually produce good software.

Now unable to download my M4V files. Its now trying to transcode them on the NAS before they get transferred.

The new version fails to download m4v movies that the previous version downloaded just fine. Do NOT upgrade.

Having the same problem as other reviewers. Videos that previously could be successfully downloaded and played on the iPhone now cannot be downloaded, although the files that were previously downloaded to the iPhone can still be played.
